UCS-2: Reliable Sensor for Industry and Mining
The UCS-2 is a universal stationary sensor designed for safe use in explosive zones. It combines precise measurement, easy operation, and high durability. This is the second generation of the sensor — improved based on feedback from users of the first version.
What It Measures
- Explosive and toxic gases: CH₄, CO, H₂S, CO₂
- Oxygen (O₂)
- Atmospheric parameters: temperature, humidity, pressure, and differential pressure.
Each device contains one built-in measurement sensor – for gases (CH₄, CO, H₂S, CO₂), oxygen (O₂), and differential pressure, each parameter is measured by a separate sensor, while temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure are measured by a single integrated sensor.
How It Works and Communicates
- Data transmission via RS485 or telemetry line
- Two RS485 interfaces – sensors can be connected in parallel or in a repeater chain, making installation and system expansion easier
- Full integration with ROOTTEL and SEVITEL telemetry systems (e.g., SMP)
- Optional connection of external sensors via RS485 or analog inputs

- Instant status indication – color LEDs show normal, warning, or alarm state at a glance
- Clear LCD display – shows live readings and device status for easy setup and diagnostics
- Flexible alarm thresholds – can be set locally or remotely from a central system
- Easy calibration – quick zeroing and adjustment using a keypad

- Up to 2 opto-isolated relay outputs
- Analog outputs: 0.4–2.0 V or 4–20 mA (with intrinsically safe power supply)
- Input ports for external devices (analog or contact type)
- Standalone mode – can locally control fans, pumps, or alarms

- ATEX certified (JSHP 24ATEX0046) – approved for explosive areas
